Although it is something we do every day, you may be surprised that there is something to improve this natural function of the body. That's why we made this list of guidelines for easy bowel movements.

Dietary regime for easy bowel movements

No doubt you are aware that food is the main factor in regular bowel movements, but how to compile a good diet menu?

As with everything else, moderation is the most important here. Consuming too much or too little fiber (fruits, vegetables, and whole grains), as well as dietary stimulants (such as coffee), can lead to constipation, bloating, or diarrhea. Coffee can also have the opposite effect if drunk in large quantities, as it can cause dehydration. Good intestinal conductivity is due to enough fluids in the body, so drink water throughout the day and reduce caffeine if you have constipation.

Proper posture at bowel movements

In recent years, there has been a serious (and not so serious) discussion about proper posture when emptying the intestinal tract for easy bowel movements.

Like animals, we relieve ourselves best in a squatting position – this is the most natural posture for easy bowel movements. In modern life, we carry out this process in the toilet, where we are in a sitting position, and the angle between the spine and hips is 90 °. This means that we have to push more, which is not natural.

The correct posture when bowel movements should have an angle of 35 °, that is, to squat. Since a modern toilet bowl is not designed for such a body position, the best advice is to lean the body forward, with your chest resting on your knees. You can put your feet on a small foot to increase the degrees and bring the body closer to the squatting position.

Physical exercise facilitates bowel movements

Regular exercise improves health, and this also applies to your regular bowel movements. It may be the last thing you feel like doing when it's heavy on your stomach, but believe me, a few jumps, a run, or a slight stretch will help you tremendously.

If sweating in sports is not to your liking, just do a light massage in the abdomen and this will also work. Another quick and tried and tested way is to put a rolled towel in the lower abdominal area or simply exert light hand pressure on that part of the body.
